11th Grade SAT, AP & Precalculus Tutoring in Flushing, Queens
SAT, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB/BC and Physics (AP) — the busiest year, planned.
Junior year is the busiest year of high school: the SAT, AP exams and Regents all come this year. We offer SAT prep, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB/BC and Physics (AP).

What we teach in 11th grade
Junior year is the year colleges look at most closely, and the year the SAT, AP exams and Regents all land. The program covers:
- SAT — the Digital SAT, reading and writing and math, taught from the latest tests with full-length practice. See the SAT & PSAT prep page for the program in detail.
- Pre-Calculus and Calculus AB/BC — taught ahead of the school calendar so each topic is familiar before the school reaches it; our AP tutoring covers the exams in May.
- Physics (AP) — the Physics Regents and AP Physics together, since the content overlaps and most juniors sit both.
Students who have come through our math sequence from Algebra 1 arrive here already a year ahead; students joining in 11th grade are placed by what their school is covering.
How a week looks
Saturday classes in Flushing, in person or online. Weekday online tutoring adds live help between Saturdays, which juniors use most in the weeks before the spring SAT and the May AP exams.
Who teaches
NYS-certified teachers, with teaching assistants available during and after class. The founder has taught SAT math, trigonometry and pre-calculus for the past 30 years, and ABCMath has prepared Flushing students for the SAT for 30.
What comes next
12th grade wraps up the last SAT sitting, AP exams and college applications, with Calculus AB/BC continuing and Differential Equations or Finite Mathematics for students who are ahead. The year before this one is on the 10th grade page.

Frequently asked questions
When should a junior take the SAT?
Most juniors take it in the spring, after a full year of preparation, leaving the fall of senior year for a retake if needed. Our SAT class runs alongside the school year so students are ready for the spring dates.
Can a student take both SAT prep and AP Calculus here?
Yes. SAT, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB/BC and AP Physics are separate classes, so a junior can combine the ones that match their school schedule.
What is the difference between Calculus AB and BC?
BC covers everything in AB plus series, parametric and polar topics, and moves faster. We teach both; which one a student takes usually follows what their school offers.
Do you prepare students for the Physics Regents as well as AP Physics?
Yes. The Physics (AP) course covers the material for the Regents and the AP exam, since the two overlap heavily and most students sit both.
