Senior year finishes the exams and the college applications: the last SAT, the AP exams and the Regents needed to graduate. We offer SAT prep, Calculus AB/BC, Differential Equations or Finite Mathematics, and Physics (AP).
What we teach in 12th grade
Senior year has two jobs: the last SAT sitting in the fall, and the AP and Regents exams that finish the transcript. The program covers:
- SAT — a final round of Digital SAT preparation for the fall test dates, for students retaking after junior year. Details on the SAT & PSAT prep page.
- Calculus AB/BC — through the May AP exams, taught ahead of the school calendar; see AP tutoring.
- Differential Equations or Finite Mathematics — college-level math for seniors who have finished Calculus BC.
- Physics (AP) — the Physics Regents and AP Physics together.
Seniors heading into computer science can take AP Computer Science or Python alongside, and competition students can finish the sequence with AMC 12 and AIME.
How a week looks
Saturday classes in Flushing, in person or online. Weekday online tutoring gives seniors live help between Saturdays when application deadlines and school work collide in the fall.
Who teaches
NYS-certified teachers, with teaching assistants available during and after class. The founder, who has taught calculus-track math and SAT math for the past 30 years, oversees the curriculum. ABCMath alumni have gone on to Cornell, Harvard, Princeton, Johns Hopkins and MIT.
What comes next
College. For students with a younger sibling, the sequence starts again at 3rd and 4th grade. The year before this one is on the 11th grade page.

Frequently asked questions
Is it too late to raise an SAT score in senior year?
No. Fall of 12th grade is the last SAT sitting that counts for most applications, and students who prepared in 11th grade often gain on the retake because they know the test. The SAT class continues through the fall dates.
What are the Differential Equations and Finite Mathematics classes?
They are for seniors who have finished Calculus BC and want college-level math before college. Differential Equations continues from calculus; Finite Mathematics covers matrices, probability and discrete topics.
Do AP scores in senior year still matter?
Yes. Colleges see them after admission and use them for course credit and placement, which can save a semester of tuition. Our AP Calculus and AP Physics classes run through the May exams.

Our focus is the academic side: the SAT, AP exams and Regents that applications depend on. Ask when you register and a representative will explain what support is available.
